Simple Escapes Reminds Spring Breakers To Be Safe While Having Fun
Safety is probably the last thing on the mind of most college students when they’re planning a spring break getaway. For them, the itinerary, sunbathing and clubbing attire takes precedent over other important issues while traveling. Simple Escapes (SM), a leading travel and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, has some simple and practical safety tips for all spring breakers to keep in mind during those wild days.
It’s well known that spring breakers “break loose” during their trip, and outrageous behavior is part of the amusement college co-eds are looking for. While having fun during the break should be a top priority, safety should also be at the top of the list. AP9 SimpleEscapes reports some simple safety tips to practice during spring break:
-- Do research. Look for recent information about the vacationing place. Read local papers and do some research online to find out if special safety measures are needed. Make sure everyone in the group is aware of the location of the nearest police station and hospital or medical center.
-- Learn the local rules. According to the U.S. State Department website, over 100,000 American teenagers travel to Mexico during spring break. The same website reports that many of those teenagers get in trouble with the law or even get into accidents because they aren’t aware of local regulations about drinking, driving, possession of firearms and more. It’s very important to be know local laws and to be able to find the nearest U.S. Consulate, U.S. Consular Agency, or the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, in case trouble arises.
-- Stick to threes. The buddy system is an old way to stay safe, but it works. Three is the magic number because if one person gets in trouble or feels sick, a second one can stay put while the third one gets help. Buddies keep an eye on one another and can be the voice of reason when too much sun or alcohol comes into play.
-- Stay in touch. Make sure someone at home has all the trip information, from the phone number of the hotel to the itinerary. It’s also a good idea to stay in touch with close friends or relatives; short calls or emails don’t take time and will reassure them of your well-being and whereabouts.
-- Don’t drink alcohol. Abstaining is the sane thing to do, although it’s exactly the opposite of what spring breakers do. Those of legal age who decide to drink must remember not to drive under the influence and have a plan for knowing when to stop and how to refuse more alcohol, even under peer pressure. When drinking, stay within reach of your friends, and don’t leave unattended anyone who passes out due to alcohol intoxication.
-- Use common sense. General common sense rules that apply at home should be followed during a spring break vacation. Lock the door at the hotel, look through the peephole before opening the door, and don’t interact with strangers, especially when alone or after a few drinks.
Safety precautions aren’t meant to deter spring breakers from having a wonderful time with their college buddies, but it is better to be safe than sorry. Another safe bet is to get discounts on travel arrangements, entertainment, meals, shopping and many other benefits with the savings program Simple Escapes.

Simple EscapesSM Wants to Help Holiday Travelers Stay Healthy, Wherever Their Destination May Be
With the holidays approaching, airports and highways are about to become jam-packed with folks heading home or jetting off to vacation resorts, notes Simple Escapes, a premier travel and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®. Amid all of the holiday hustle and bustle, however, healthy precautions can be overlooked, and when they are, the best-laid plans can easily turn into waylaid plans.
The holiday season coincides with the beginning of flu season in the United States, so travelers can expect to be inundated with reminders about flu vaccinations and other such precautions. Even if sojourners pay attention to those reminders, though, more than a few of them will likely overlook other health issues, particularly those directly related to traveling.
To help keep the holiday travel blues to a minimum, SimpleEscapes offers a few suggestions on embarking on a healthy trip:
-- Prepare for jet lag. A common ailment after trips across time zones, jet lag can weaken the immune system, which obviously lowers the body’s defenses against the common cold and other, worse ailments. To help reduce jet lag, travelers flying west to east should avoid the sun for the first day of their arrival. Folks flying east to west should consider taking a quick-paced walk upon their arrival. Melatonin, an over-the-counter (OTC) supplement, can also help fight jet lag.
-- Pay attention to prescriptions. Folks who are taking prescribed maintenance drugs (heart medication, cholesterol pills, anti-depressants, allergy medications, etc.) should be sure to stock up adequately beforehand. Ideally, they should get a supply that will last longer than the scheduled trip, just in case travel delays occur, reports Simple Escapes.
-- Vaccinate well beforehand. People who are flying to another country should check well in advance with their doctor (and/or visit the Centers for Disease Control website) to make sure they’re up-to-date on any and all required vaccinations. Some vaccinations require multiple doses, so it’s important that international travelers give themselves enough time to get inoculated before departure.
-- Visit the hometown pharmacy. People planning trips to foreign countries should also pick up a travel supply of OTC medications, like pain relievers, cold remedies and even vitamin supplements, since OTC drugs in other countries don’t always contain the exact same dosages available in the U.S. Packing a supply of OTC diarrhea drugs and other medications for digestive problems is another good idea; it’s better to have it and not need it than the alternative.
-- Don’t drink the water. It may sound like a cliché, but it’s true: Visitors to foreign countries usually haven’t built up any tolerance to the bacteria in the local water system, and digestive problems can and will flare up when foreign elements enter the intestines. The safest way to avoid such problems is to rely on bottled water — for everything, even when brushing one’s teeth. If bottled water isn’t available, be sure to clean the tap water first by boiling it or by using an iodine tablet.
-- Pack a brief medical history. If health problems do occur, the local doctor(s) may need to know more about the patient than just his or her symptoms. Travelers should carry a summary of their medical history, from blood type, allergies and immunizations to ongoing health problems, current medications and the name and phone number of their regular doctor. Be sure to include the name, address, phone number and policy number of the traveler’s health insurance carrier as well as a list of emergency contacts and their phone numbers.
Holiday travelers can typically expect long lines at the airport and congestion on the highways, but with some advance planning, they can take the proper steps to avoid health problems commonly associated with traveling, reports SimpleEscapes.

Simple EscapesSM Takes You to Haunted Places All Over The World!
October is here again, 31 days of spooky tales and very scary entertainment offerings on both the big and small screens. Although these movies and shows are enough to cost you a good night’s sleep, it’s definitely more exciting to experience it in real-time, traveling to an unknown place with a haunted history.
Experienced and amateur ghost busters can arrange their trips (haunted or otherwise) through Simple Escapes, a travel and entertainment discount membership program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®. These spooky-adventure seekers will find places for eerie encounters with ghosts, goblins and paranormal phenomena in every corner of the world; and no matter where they go, they can take advantage of instant savings on travel reservations and car rentals, along with discounts on hotel stays, meals at family restaurants, theme park admission tickets and other benefits offered by Simple Escapes.
SimpleEscapes has a few suggestions for ghost lovers in Europe and America:
-- Haunting Noises. Edinburgh, in Scotland, has been called the most haunted city in Europe. Spooky settings are spread out all over the city, and the magnificent Edinburgh Castle is the ideal place to start a ghostly tour of the city. The drummer who announced when the castle was being attacked still plays a tune every now and then, but he hasn’t been seen since appearing hundreds of years ago as a headless boy playing the drums. Another noise that has been heard is the tune of a piper who was once sent out to explore the then-recently discovered tunnels underneath the castle. Halfway down the Royal Mile, the piping suddenly stopped, and the rescue party that was sent to investigate never found a trace of the poor man. Along with the ghosts of the Castle, other famous ghosts in Edinburgh include the Corstorphine White Lady, Johnny One Arm, and the Royal Mile Death Coach.
-- Sunbathing Ghosts. As America’s oldest city, St. Augustine, Florida, has its fair share of hauntings. The “Caspers” of the city are so famous that various ghost tours now operate year-round. Those who dare to see them firsthand stay at the St. Francis Inn, where the ghost of a young African-American girl has been seen floating around. Other visitors opt to make a reservation at the Casablanca Inn, hoping to see the light on the balcony. Legend has it that a widow who ran a boarding house in the same building back in the 1930s used to swing a lantern back and forth on the balcony to warn rumrunners when government revenuers were in town. That light supposedly still shines on clear nights in the moonlight.
-- White House Ghosts. Since 1800, this splendid house has been the residence of the Presidents of the United States, but even though the periods of reign for most of them ended long ago —and, in fact, most of them are now dead— a few of them decided to never leave. That’s right. The White House is said to be another site of paranormal activity, so much that even the respectable Eleanor Roosevelt once said she felt Abraham Lincoln staring at her while working in the room that carries his name. Other staff members have seen the late Great Emancipator walking down the hallways or staring outside a window at the Oval Office. William Henry Harrison and Andrew Jackson are also said to be wandering around different rooms, and First Lady Abigail Adams has apparently decided to stay in the house. Some have seen her floating through hallways in the house, as if carrying something in her hands.
Ghost hunting is another fun activity to include in any vacation plans. And to avoid any scary surprises when traveling while enjoying great deals on travel arrangements, entertainment, meals, shopping and many other benefits, go with SimpleEscapes.

AP9 SimpleEscapes Offers Safety Tips to Consider Before Heading Out on a Camping Trip
Reconnecting with Mother Nature on her terms is always a worthwhile activity, reports AP9 SimpleEscapes, a premier travel and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, but the laws of nature are often less forgiving than man-made laws, so it’s critical that campers equip themselves with the tools they’ll need for every contingency.
“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you,” said Frank Lloyd Wright, the acclaimed architect who was known for designing houses that complemented their natural surroundings. Campers would do well to follow his lead, not necessarily in their choice of tents but in trying to fit into the local ecosystem rather than leaving a trail of wreckage in their wake. As the effects of climate change begin to bare their severe-weather teeth, it’s important to remember that even the subtlest change to an existing environment can have serious, long-lasting implications, notes AP9 Simple Escapes.
Of course, for most campers, long-lasting concerns pale in comparison to today’s concerns. Following the camping mantra -- “Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst” -- AP9 SimpleEscapes offers a few suggestions for making your next camping trip a safe, enjoyable outing for the whole family:
-- “First” aid is essential aid. If you’re camping deep in the woods (rather than in a commercial campground near civilization), the health of everyone in your group depends upon a fully stocked first-aid kit. Along with the usual basics -- antiseptics, Band-Aids, bandages, ice packs, hydrocortisone cream, insect repellent and snakebite kits, splints, a working flashlight and more -- be sure to pack extra doses of prescription medicines, just in case you’re stranded for a while. These days, a GPS tracker and a fully charged cellphone should also be considered mandatory equipment. Along those lines ….
-- Let someone know where you are. GPS trackers can help rescue teams find missing campers, but trackers can break or get left behind. That’s why it’s important to leave word about your itinerary -- and stick to it. Forest rangers and other search teams stand a much better chance of finding you if they know where to look.
-- Tend the fire. Severe drought conditions in various U.S. locations have increased the risk of raging forest fires recently, which means that campfires may be illegal in certain areas. Even if they’re allowed, you need to keep a close eye on any campfire you build. Be sure to have an extra supply of water to douse any embers that may pop out of the fire, and take the time to ensure that the fire is fully extinguished before calling it a night.
-- Don’t cater to local wildlife. Animals are our friends, but they’re not always friendly. If you’re standing between a bear and her cubs, for instance, you’re in the wrong place. Research the local area, follow all of the suggested precautions, and pack your food in airtight containers that reduce or, ideally, eliminate aromas that might entice local critters to stop by for a snack. Before turning in for the night, find a high branch away from the campsite where you can hang your food supplies out of reach of the tallest animals in the area.
-- Pack for weather changes. Unless you’re camping in, say, Death Valley, you should be ready for uncomfortable temperature swings. Particularly in mountainous regions, daytime and nighttime temperatures can vary by several dozen degrees, and a cold and/or rainy night can turn a fun family outing into a miserable experience if you’re unprepared for it. In addition to warm clothes, be sure your sleeping bags can handle chilly climes and your tent is protected from the rain and water build-up on the ground.
Getting back to nature is a perfect way to gain perspective in this fast-paced world, and taking a prepared approach can help ensure that you benefit from that perspective by helping you to return to civilization safely, notes AP9 Simple Escapes.

AP9 Simple Escapes Lights the Fuse on July 4th Fun
Who says July 4th fun is just for kids? Not AP9 Simple Escapes, a leading discount membership program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®. On the contrary, the folks at AP9 Simple Escapes want to give all its members, both young and old, a recipe for family fun this upcoming Independence Day.
No matter what’s on the docket — basking in the sun, poolside, readying the barbecue for hungry friends and relatives or just making plans to attend a fireworks show — AP9 SimpleEscapes has a few ideas about how to commemorate America’s birthday in style. To get in the celebratory mode, just think of the following good-time suggestions as one big powder keg of activity. As soon as the fuse is lit … the fun starts:
-- Location, location, location ... and time. There hasn’t been a gala event yet that didn’t have a well-chosen venue. If celebrating the stars and stripes means throwing a big bash, book a local park, meeting hall or a friend’s spacious back yard well in advance. Being spontaneous has its pluses, but don’t forget. The biggest risks with waiting until the 11th hour can be two-fold: 1) All of the big July 4th party venues might already be booked. 2) Friends and family members might have already committed to other plans.
-- Let ’em eat, drink and light sparklers. There’s an old saying that goes, “You can’t eat atmosphere,” when it comes to enjoying food and drink. But that doesn’t mean that a smartly dressed picnic/dinner table won’t add to the fun. Star-shaped napkins, serving trays, plates and bowls will keep guests feeling patriotic while they chow down on munchies and other eats. And all kids (plus plenty of “grown-up” kids too) love sparklers. Be sure to put them atop cakes and other desserts for some further festive eating. Just don’t let the little ones play with sparklers without adult supervision. They can be dangerous if carelessly handled.
-- Let the games begin. Conducting outdoor games is yet another great way to honor Old Glory, suggests AP9 Simple Escapes. Depending on the size of the gathering, choose up sides for tug-of-war, organize egg-and-spoon races, and keep things cool with balloon tosses — using red, white and blue ones, of course.
-- Get a good seat for the show. Virtually every town in America features some kind of fireworks show. Make plans to get to the light show early, and stake a claim to a prime viewing spot.
For 4th of July fun guaranteed to keep even the great Betsy Ross in stitches, check out AP9 SimpleEscapes. And for savings on other fun pursuits, from family vacations to theme park excursions to spur-of-the-moment, romantic getaways, all the signs point towards AP9 Simple Escapes.

AP9 SimpleEscapes Provides Memory Check — Reminders for Travel Must-Haves
AP9 SimpleEscapes, a leading discount membership program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, understands that a lot goes into planning a trip. And whether traveling for business or pleasure, it’s the little things that make all the difference.
An important business trip or a much-needed getaway can turn stressful fast if certain items never make it into the travel bag. AP9 Simple Escapes offers its members some important reminders to include pivotal travel items — including those that not only minimize stress, but can also make or break a well-designed travel plan.
-- Let ’em know where, when and how. Having a well-organized itinerary is not only good for the traveler, it also makes things easier on business associates and family members alike. If plans take you out of town, make sure that everyone who needs to know how to reach you, from bosses to relatives and friends, can do so quickly and easily.
-- Look the part. Make sure the right clothes make the trip. If your travels lead to areas that can provide decidedly “unpredictable” weather conditions, check the weather forecast regularly in advance. There’s nothing worse than boiling in winter and/or freezing in summer. Just ask Mark Twain.
-- The “IDs” have it. Right or wrong, today’s world requires well-documented identification all the time. When traveling by plane, for example, even the most trustworthy-looking of travelers won’t be allowed through airport security without proper ID. Check and double-check driver’s licenses, passports and all other relevant documents that prove you’re you.
-- Comply with doctor’s orders. If a trip is imminent, make sure any needed prescription medications make it into the suitcase. In fact, bring more than just a few days’ supply. As for non-prescription stuff, it can’t hurt to bring along sundries such as cold medicine, aspirin and maybe even Pepto-Bismol or Alka-Seltzer.
-- Map it like Magellan. Modern travelers clearly have a leg up on history’s seminal world circumnavigator. Where he relied only on instinct and a sea-faring soul, by contrast, the modern explorer has access to online mapping software, Global Positioning Systems (GPSs) and local maps for sale at every corner convenience store. Bring along these modern travel tools and save on headaches in the bargain.
In addition to great extras like these trouble-shooting travel tips, AP9 SimpleEscapes also offers savings on theme park excursions and spur-of-the-moment sojourns. A world that combines relaxation with adventure is waiting at AP9 Simple Escapes.

AP9 SimpleEscapes Helps You Find New Tunes for the Summer
During the summer, visits to the beach and long poolside gatherings with family and friends are even more enjoyable when accompanied by music that will make everyone sing along, perform “air guitar” jams or even dance a little. AP9 SimpleEscapes, a premier travel and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, reports that this summer offers plenty of new, fun musical releases to choose from.
Whatever their tastes are, members of AP9 Simple Escapes count on their money-saving entertainment benefits to add some new names to their CD collection. Here are some of the releases coming out in the months of April, May and June (please note that release dates are subject to change without notice):
-- April 17. Avril Lavigne, “The Best Damn Thing.” This young Canadian punk-pop star, notes AP9 Simple Escapes, is making a comeback with a third album, after getting married and branching out into acting. Avril decided on a more upbeat tone for this album, which includes some catchy sing-along lyrics as well as some strong words here and there, a touch of aggressiveness that made the record label add the Parental Advisory logo to the cover. Fans will notice a more mature side of Avril, with the same spice that made her so popular at 17, when she released her first CD.
-- April 24. Yoko Ono. “Open Your Box [remixes]”. The nostalgia of the early ’70s, along with an undertone of the political and social turmoil that Yoko represents, comes back in ’07 — with a twist. This is a compilation of the remix singles that have been released since 2001, in addition to some new mixes that bring the ’70s to the new century. This timeless piece for music lovers includes collaborations by Pet Shop Boys, Felix da Housecat, Orange Factory, Murk and Bimbo Jones, among others.
-- May 1. Tori Amos, “American Doll Posse.” Those who know Ms. Amos know two things for sure: she’s a superb talent, and she’s a bit unconventional. With this album, Amos doesn’t disappoint. She composes, sings, plays, records and produces her music in her cottage in Cornwall, Scotland, and for this ’07 album, her pose involves four women (Isabel, Pip, Clyde and Santa) who live inside of the same woman: Tori Amos. Look for complexity and great music, all in a multi-media project that will for sure give much to talk about.
-- June 12. Toby Keith. “Big Dog Daddy.” The album hasn’t hit the shelves yet, and his tour already has more than 50 dates booked until September. The first single, “High Maintenance Woman,” is the fastest-rising single in Keith’s career to date. These two factors, and the fact that this album is entirely produced by him, make “Big Dog Daddy” one of the most important of his career … so far. It looks like Toby Keith will be here for a while.
Savings on concert tickets, DVDs, books, theme park visits and much more are part of the significant entertainment discounts that members can find through AP9 SimpleEscapes.

AP9 Simple Escapes Offers Tips for Traveling by Plane with Small Children
Air travel has become much more heavily monitored since 9/11, notes AP9 SimpleEscapes, a travel and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, and the tighter restrictions make no allowances for unruly kids. In fact, as a recent incident on a domestic flight to Boston demonstrated, an uncontrolled child can end up leaving the whole family stranded at the gate while the plane departs without them.
AP9 Simple Escapes members can go online to find significant savings on travel needs and family entertainment fare, including movie and theme park tickets, restaurant meals, books, CDs and much more.
In this post-9/11 world, no exceptions are made for disruptive passengers, regardless of their age. After a flight from Fort Myers, Florida, to Boston had been delayed for 15 minutes because a three-year-old child refused to take her seat, the entire family was asked to leave the plane, and their airfare was refunded. AP9 Simple Escapes therefore has a few suggestions for folks who are traveling with young’uns:
-- Prepare them before departure. If the kids are old enough to understand what’s going on around them, inform them that the pilot and crew need them to be well-behaved in order to fly the plane properly. Offer them rewards -- an extra snack, a trip to the zoo, whatever -- if they promise to behave, then remind them of those rewards if they start to act up.
-- Make them comfortable. For most infants and toddlers, airports and airplanes represent a whole new world of sights, sounds and people, and many youngsters don’t react calmly in such busy environments. Fortunately, a variety of child restraint systems, i.e., carseats, are approved for use on planes, so check with the airline, then bring the kid’s regular carseat on board. The familiar seating can help reduce fidgeting and, in some cases, promote sleep.
-- Keep them amused. From dolls to pacifiers to small games to books, their favorite diversions can distract and entertain kids for hours (ideally). Pack the carry-on luggage with their most popular toys and games (and, of course, an adequate supply of snacks, juice, diapers and any medications they may need). Just be prepared to substitute distractions at a moment’s notice, since that’s how quickly attention spans can shift.
-- Act like a parent. It’s the responsibility of the parents -- not the flight attendants, the pilots or other passengers -- to control their children on an airplane. If that means disciplining them in front of a planeload of strangers, so be it. While physical abuse should never be part of a parent’s arsenal, a stern lecture -- or even gently but effectively restraining a child in his or her seat, if necessary -- can be useful tactics for controlling a wayward child. And remember: As every other passenger will attest, a parent’s most important priority when flying with children is to keep the little ones under control.
Traveling with kids can be a nerve-wracking situation for even the most experienced parents, but with pre-planning and attention to detail, parents can help to make the flight as uneventful as possible, reports AP9 SimpleEscapes.

AP9 Simple Escapes Offers Ideas for Many Affordably Fun Dates
So you’re single and dating. A lot. And it’s fun, but it can also become very expensive. How do you keep on dating that “special someone” — or perhaps with a couple of people — without breaking the bank? AP9 SimpleEscapes, a leading travel and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, has some simple and practical solutions for you.
An unforgettable date requires some planning and lots of creativity. AP9 Simple Escapes members can take advantage of money-saving benefits even if they’re going out on dates every weekend, including savings at perfect date-making retailers all over the country, from movie theatres and restaurants to bookstores and traveling options. With so many date options to choose from, AP9 SimpleEscapes offers just a few ideas:
-- The all-time classic. Movies are a great choice for dates if certain rules are followed. Don’t go to the movies on a blind date, unless you definitely know the other person likes the idea of spending two hours in a dark room with a stranger. Choose the movie theatre as an option if you already know the person you are going on a date with, and if possible, make the choice of movies a mutual decision.
-- Play a game. If the other half of the date agrees, a night of role-play can be a lot of fun! Pick an Italian restaurant, and try to speak as much Italian as you can, make up words or say a few lines from famous Italian movies. Ask the server for a traditional dish you’ve never tried, and discover a new flavor together. You can laugh at yourselves and bring new topics of conversations to the table.
-- AP9 Simple Escapes says, "Hit the road." Traveling — close to or far from your home — is a good way to meet people with dating potential, especially if you go to singles-oriented places (signing up for a beach or a ski house is a great idea). On the other hand, a weekend getaway with the person you’re dating will allow you to see each other in a different light. Getting out of the comfort zone is one way to discover new things about yourself and other people.
-- Public meeting. It’s easier to feel more relaxed if the date occurs in a neutral zone or a public place, so you don’t feel under the spotlight. What about a bookstore? Most have a coffee shop inside, so you can feel at ease surrounded by people and finding topics to talk about among books and magazines. You can even spend time picking a book to read together and discuss later on over the phone or, ideally, on another date a couple of days later.
“What to do on my next date?” is a much easier question to answer when you have a variety of ways to have fun while saving money, reports AP9 SimpleEscapes.

AP9 SimpleEscapes Helps Members Hightail it Towards Winter Fun
If the terms “winter” and “cabin fever” are linked in your mind, it’s never too late to make different connections, reports AP9 Simple Escapes, a travel and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC® that offers members chances to save on vacation getaways this coming winter and year-round.
Members may access their benefits by logging on to DealPass.com, an online portal for Adaptive Marketing membership programs. There members will find exceptional savings on all their travels needs as well as other entertainment choices like movie tickets, dining, books, CDs and much, much more.
AP9 Simple Escapes recognizes that the old expression “different strokes for different folks” applies especially to the winter months — when some people seek to embrace the cold and snow, while others search for the warmth of the sun. In either case, AP9 SimpleEscapes offers its take on four top winter vacation destinations:
-- Ski, snowboard and revel in New England’s snow belt at Stratton Mountain. If flying down a ski trail with lots of freedom of choice sounds like a winter lover’s dream, Stratton Mountain in Stratton, Vermont, offers skiers and snowboarders 92 different reasons to start making vacation plans today.
-- Visit with Mickey at Disney, and leave the cold weather behind. If fun for both kids and adults alike seems like only a fantasy, it sounds like it’s about time to visit Disney World! The kids will visit with their favorite Disney characters, and you’ll get a break from the cold and snow in sunny Orlando, Florida. Start making plans today to visit the Magic Kingdom, and shake off the winter funk in the process.
-- Find yourself in a winter paradise at Park City, Utah. For those in the east wondering what “skiing out west” is really like, isn’t it about time to stop wondering? For those who have skied out west, here’s another chance. Park City Mountain Resort is waiting with over 3,300 acres of skiing and snowboarding terrain available.
-- Discover Sea World, and float above the waves. AP9 SimpleEscapes Reports Off-Season Cruise Destinations Still Available This Fall
When planning a vacation, most people get stuck in the hotel-and-airfare rut. Feel the breeze of the open sea, see multiple destinations, enjoy tasty cuisine practically 24/7 and live entertainment nightly by taking a cruise. AP9 Simple Escapes, a travel discount membership program by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, suggests cruise itineraries that are usually overlooked for fall booking yet provide relaxing or exciting getaways.
By logging on to DealPass.com, AP9 SimpleEscapes members have access to significant savings when making their travel reservations, as well as up to 20% off on other travel purchases like luggage, dining, amusements parks passes, plus so much more. This means members can spend more time exploring their dream destinations and less time stressing about the cost!
AP9 SimpleEscapes shares these exciting fall cruise destinations that offer smaller crowds and budget-friendly rates.
--Bermuda. Although most people travel to Bermuda during the summer months, the cruise season for this island of pink sands lasts through mid-November. Quaint cottages line winding roads where only residents are allowed to drive. Because most cruise ships call at each port for a few days, visitors can zip around the island on scooters, bikes, ferries and taxis. Attention golf fanatics: pack the clubs and check out some of the world’s most beautiful courses.
--The Caribbean. The Caribbean is a year-round destination for cruise ships and it provides a wonderful escape from cold climates to the north. The least expensive time to visit any of the islands is in late summer and fall because of hurricane season. But don’t let that change the vacation plans – most ships will steer around any storms that form so that cruisers still have a good time. Snorkeling, sun worshipping, duty-free shopping and countless excursions await.
--Europe. Europe offers several cruise itineraries for various areas of the continent. Northern Europe and Baltic cruises are available through October, the Greek and Canary islands are accessible until December, and visitors cruise southern Europe almost all year. Fall is an ideal time to tour Europe because most travelers visit in the summer. Shorter lines to see the sights, smaller crowds, cheaper fares and pleasant temperatures combine to make a memorable adventure.
--New England/Canada. Many leaf peepers choose to drive to their destinations but why not take a cruise instead? New England and Canada cruises are growing in popularity and they’re a great way to leave the “driving” to someone else. Cruisers probably won’t need to pack their swimwear in the autumn months but the endless activities will make up for it. Whale watching, historical sites, biking and whitewater rafting trips are offered as standard excursions on many cruises.
Members can make the most of their precious leisure time with discounts on books, movies, and more through AP9 Simple Escapes.

The following destinations, suggests AP9 Simple Escapes, will help members decide what kind of fall weekend awaits them.
--In living color. New England is a popular autumn getaway for one simple reason – foliage. Check online to see when peak color will be in full effect; it will vary by area. Sample some authentic maple syrup, visit an orchard for apple picking and check local newspapers for fun local festivals and events. Quaint family-operated inns are unique accommodation options.
--Southern charm. The Southeastern coast makes for an ideal fall escape. With a rich history, renowned architecture and water still warm enough to swim in, the southern United States is a destination full of treasures. Charleston, Savannah, the Chesapeake Bay and Washington, D.C. will entertain history buffs as well as those who enjoy exploring a new place on foot. Take in live jazz, taste soulful southern cuisine and tour Civil War landmarks.
--Roller coaster weekend. Amusement parks are plentiful in the United States and make for easy and convenient family getaways. Whether it’s a Disney theme park, Busch Gardens, Six Flags or even a local water park, everyone can have fun at these destinations. Fall is a great time to visit since lines are shorter and some parks may offer off-season discounts on admission.
--Sip the weekend away. Although Napa Valley is considered the most ideal place for wine tasting amid sprawling vistas, many states have local vineyards that offer tours or getaway packages. A destination within driving distance is affordable. Consider traveling by train for a relaxing and scenic journey to the vineyard.
Whether it’s by plane, train or car, members can easily and inexpensively experience historical, scenic or just plain fun vacations through AP9 Simple Escapes.

Just before it’s time to go back to a tight daily schedule of getting up early, doing homework and going to soccer, football or ballet practice, parents and kids need a “vacation from summer vacation,” and the best way is to pack up and go to a fun place for a short trip. AP9 SimpleEscapes members access their benefits online at DealPass.com, where they can save on travel reservations*, theme park admissions, meals out at popular restaurants and tons of vacation resources.
AP9 Simple Escapes offers these unique quick and easy getaways, for adventuresome couples or families in need of a break:
1. Take a gamble. Open 24/7, Las Vegas is a place where you can forget about the whole world if you want to. It may seem crowded and loud, but it’s actually such an out-of-the-ordinary kind of place that you won’t even notice the noise. Three days is more than plenty to go to Las Vegas, where you can dance at amazing clubs, watch some professionals or celebrities play poker, visit the Hoover Dam and the desert, and do whatever you want. After all, you know the old saying: what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
2. Be romantic. Before school starts and all the focus is centered on kids’ activities, couples might want to take a 2- or 3-day trip to a romantic getaway. Drop the kids off at your parents or in-laws, and hit the road to a cozy bed & breakfast, even if it’s in your home state. A weekend away at a quiet place can help you reconnect with your spouse, take pleasure in the rural atmosphere, enjoy nice walks in the countryside and eat at small, family restaurants. If you live in the northeast, Cape Cod is always a good option.
3. Fun learning. South Padre Island is not only a favorite spring break destination, it’s also a place where families can have a lot of fun year-round. Eco-tourism is one of the main attractions of this island of south Texas, right in the Gulf of Mexico. The whole family will learn about nature and ecology with amusing activities like dolphin watches, sunset cruises, glass bottom boats, eco-tours, snorkeling and much more!
4. Mountain hideaway. Mountain vacations are good throughout the year, since there always are outdoor activities for the whole family, from horseback riding, fishing and biking to hiking and picnicking. Escaping to the mountains will revitalize your senses and get you ready to go back to the daily routine. If this is your kind of getaway, check out the Smoky Mountains, located in Tennessee.
5. Big-city rush. If you live in a small town and you want to change your pace by visiting a fast environment, big cities like Chicago or San Diego are some of your best bets. These urban destinations have many things happening at once, but somehow they’re also calming at the same time. In Chicago, you can indulge in a night of jazz or spend the whole day touring the city by boat on the Chicago River or Lake Michigan. In San Diego, your choices are also tantalizing, from the amazing San Diego Zoo to the Aerospace Museum to Legoland and Balboa Park, key places for the whole family.
AP9 Simple Escapes members can save up to 50% off the cost of hotel room stays, up to hundreds of dollars on airfares, up to 30% off car rentals and much more.** No matter what your motives are for getting away, members can always find an ideal place to go and plenty of ways to save while having fun through the Online Travel Agency provided by AP9 SimpleEscapes!

AP9 Simple Escapes Honors National Poetry Month
AP9 SimpleEscapes is launching into April by acknowledging the literary talents of much-loved poets, as part of National Poetry Month. Explore the workings, wit and excitement of poetry with friends and family while saving up to 20% on books, journals, magazines and other media with AP9 SimpleEscapes, a leading membership discount program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®.
AP9 Simple Escapes members have access to exclusive discounts while shopping at local and national bookstores by purchasing gift cards through DealPass.com. With AP9 Simple Escapes, members can easily save hard-earned dollars on sales made during National Poetry Month or just anytime, such as literary reviews, magazines and stationery.
Contact local schools, libraries, cultural centers and other resources to find out more about poetry and its literary role. AP9 SimpleEscapes gives these creative suggestions on celebrating National Poetry Month with neighbors and family:
-- Create awareness of National Poetry Month. Sharing poetry with friends and family is a fun and easy way to give thanks for this type of literature. Purchase some lively, vivid or just plain fun postcards at a book or discount store. On the back, write a poem or parts of a poem, along with the name of the poet and any interesting or remarkable tidbits about him or her. Send it to someone special, and it just might spark a poetry postcard chain that continues for years to come.
-- Use a poem to decorate the ordinary. Locate a poem or something written by a favorite poet. Depending on your project, use a part or the entire poem to stencil around an entryway, on a collectible box or around a picture frame. A decorative accent like this is a creative way to attract attention and a great conversational piece. Find seasonal poetry about the holidays, birthdays or other special occasions, and write it out on a large piece of paper for wrapping gifts.
-- Partake in an open mic night. Several local communities and organizations offer open mic nights at popular taverns, coffee houses and even boutiques that provide a chance for wannabe poets to share their work as well as the work of famous poets. Your newspaper is a great source for finding these scheduled events. Or contact a favorite hangout, and offer to organize a night to recognize National Poetry Month; even a neighbor’s living room can be a comfortable and inviting forum to begin a new local tradition.
-- Inspire inner poets at home. Hosting a family-and-friends poetry night at home is a fun way to spend time together and is sure to ignite creative juices. Make the challenge fun by putting together a variety of activities. Hold a poetry contest and give awards for Longest, Best Rhymes, Silliest, Scariest and more. Or play a game where each person writes a word on a sheet of paper, folds it and passes it to the next player for him or her to do the same. After several rounds, read the whole thing aloud as a poem, which will surely earn some laughs.
Please keep in mind that members also receive discounts on travel needs, electronics, movie tickets, restaurant dining and much more through AP9 SimpleEscapes.

AP9 SimpleEscapes Explores the Top Five Spring Break Destinations
There seems to be two items college students rank high on their list of to-dos – graduation and spring break. In fact, some may spend more time planning spring break than studying for mid-terms. The toughest question on the exam: Where should I go for spring break this year? Fortunately, AP9 Simple Escapes, a travel discount membership program by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, did its homework by reporting on the top five destinations to spend the most prized week of university life.
No matter what your pocketbook or wallet allows, AP9 Simple Escapes will assist you with getting the most out of your long-awaited vacation without having to call Mom and Dad to chip in a little extra. The only concern you’ll have is settling on where to go and what to pack!
AP9 SimpleEscapes found these five destinations, any of which will offer the most memorable spring break:
5. Jamaica
A mecca for reggae buffs, this Caribbean island rocks to a steady rhythm of sand, sun and surf. This little island offers big adventure — cliff diving, underwater cave exploration, Jeep tours, mountain biking and hiking and even surfing. Getting a little tired? Soak up some sun on the beach. Nightlife thrives in Jamaica; rumble all night long at one or more reggae clubs, or look for something off the beaten path that features live local entertainment.
4. Lake Havasu, Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Arizona is famous for its vast deserts and geological wonders, but it’s also home to one of the most visited spring break hangouts and a 45-mile long lake. Lake Havasu offers beachside lodging, but many spring breakers opt for renting a houseboat. Rentals offer an easy and memorable answer for large groups traveling together. Water activities include rafting, fishing, diving and kayaking. If you decide to drop anchor, you’ll find desert tours, biking, golf, ATV rentals, comedy clubs and dance floors on land.
3. South Padre Island, Texas
If you’re looking to head south of the border, you may want to stay on South Padre Island, where you can have the best of both worlds — gorgeous beaches and a 30-minute trip to Mexico. Resorts are plentiful, and beach house rentals offer a fun alternative for large groups. Rent a beach buggy and explore the dunes, go on a dolphin watch, horseback ride, and relax on a booze cruise. When you’re back on land in the afternoon, you’ll have countless opportunities to participate in hotel-sponsored contests and events. Work up a second wind for live music and foam parties at night.
2. Cancun, Mexico
This Mayan paradise is considered the unofficial spring break headquarters. Although the area offers relics and temples from thousands of years ago, you can assume that most spring breakers are less interested in history and more curious about beaches, bullfights and tequila. This coastal city features hip and stylish hotels and clubs, as well as funky, low-key hangouts. Spring breakers flock to the Party Zone, a centralized area of Cancun packed with clubs, bars, restaurants and shopping. Hardcore party animals can use free island transportation to popular bars.
1. Panama City, Florida
This Florida Panhandle town wins top honors as the ultimate spring break destination. Panama City’s beaches are proof that you don’t need to travel to southern France to experience Rivieran shores. Make your hotel or rental condo reservations early, as Panama City draws nearly a half-million spring breakers annually. Blame it on the sunny skies, non-stop beach parties and outrageous nightclubs. If you decide to step off the dance floor, the Gulf of Mexico offers fishing and diving excursions, including the chance to swim with dolphins. And if you need to beach yourself for a day, you’ll have 27 miles of sugary sands and emerald waters to recharge your party battery.
By loggin on to DealPass.com, AP9 SimpleEscapes members have access to remarkable savings when making their travel reservations*, as well as 20% discounts on gift cards for purchasing luggage, eating out and visiting amusements parks. Other discounts on books, movies, golf products and today’s fashions make your leisure time that much more enjoyable. It’s traveling made easy and affordable, concludes AP9 SimpleEscapes!**

AP9 SimpleEscapes Helps Travelers Get Their Suitcases Organized
So you are leaving on a trip, and you have all of your travel plans confirmed -- flight times, hotel check-in and check-out times, pamphlets and brochures on sightseeing excursions, with the travelers checks and passport stored in a safe, yet easily accessible place. What about packing, asks AP9 SimpleEscapes, a travel discount membership program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®?
All of your t’s are crossed and i’s dotted, but now you face the challenge of cramming 1-2 weeks worth of outfits, accessories, and health and beauty aids into a suitcase -- all while making a conscience effort to stay within your baggage and weight limits as defined by the airline. No need to worry because AP9 SimpleEscapes has a few packing helpful hints to share which will help relieve some the anxieties associated with packing so you can concentrate on having a wonderful vacations.
AP9 SimpleEscapes wants you to pack smart by following these simple and easy packing tips:
1. Contact with the airline before you start to pack to find out how many bags you can check and the maximum weight of each bag. As you are packing, please keep in mind that you may be purchasing souvenirs to take back home with you -- so leave some room. There is nothing more disheartening than to arrive at baggage check to find that you have to pay an additional fee because your bags are over the weight regulation.
2. Find out what the 5 to 7 day forecast will be in the area you will be vacationing -- day and night. Organize everything you want to bring before packing by putting similar items into piles. Do not fold your clothes -- roll them up. By doing this, you are not only saving precious space saving you from the hassle of heavy ironing because rolling clothes loosely prevent wrinkles.
3. Pack lots of T-shirts or tank tops because they can be used as nightshirts, swimsuit cover-ups, and as work-out tops if you want to take a long walk, run on the beach or use the hotel fitness center.
4. Bring a garbage bag and bags you can reseal to keep your dirty and wet clothing in. This will make your travel home much easier. If you are left with a few pieces of clean clothes, the bags will keep the clean ones separated from the soiled and wet ones. You may also want to bring a few dryer sheets to help keep your suitcase smelling great.
5. To prevent leaks from hair care bottles, toothpaste tubes or cosmetics, put them in zippered plastic bags and pack heavy items such as shoes, pants, coats and hairdryers on the bottom of your suitcase to prevent personal care items from breaking or exploding.
AP9 SimpleEscapes members can log on to DealPass to find fantastic savings by booking all their travel needs as well as buying gift cards for popular restaurants and retail stores at a 20% discount, which can be used towards the purchase of music, books, DVDs and dinner while on vacation. We hope your vacation is all that you want it to be, concludes AP9 SimpleEscapes.

AP9 SimpleEscapes Provides Helpful Hints on Remaining a Stress-free Holiday Host
The holidays will soon be upon us, which signifies the coming of holiday guests. AP9 Simple Escapes, a premier travel and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, offers up a couple of tips to ensure your guests -- and you -- have a pleasant holiday stay.
The holiday season is chaotic enough, even before you throw in a long visit from your in-laws or a weekend stopover by your long-lost college roommate and his family. From stressing about their comfort and accommodations to questioning how to entertain them, apprehensions have a propensity to build up as the arrival date draws nearer. However, members of AP9 SimpleEscapes know that they can save up to 20% on a variety of useful and entertaining items and services, thereby relieving at least some of their holiday-hosting angst.
AP9 Simple Escapes offers a few tips on how to decrease the stress brought on by holiday visitors:
-- Prepare for safe landings. Nothing can dampen the holiday cheer quite so quickly as an injury or accident involving a houseguest. If you live in a cool climate, be sure you have an ample supply of shovels, rock salt and other snow- and ice-removal needs on hand to ensure safe trips to and from the driveway. If your guests include young children, do a full sweep of your home beforehand to make sure any potentially dangerous (or simply valuable but fragile) items are put away in a safe location .
-- Stock up on … everything. Overnight (or longer) stays don’t just mean more mouths to feed. Those mouths are attached to bodies that have other needs as well. From common household items like toiletries, fresh towels and linens to often-overlooked travel essentials like alarm clocks and aspirin, try to anticipate your guests’ needs in your pre-arrival shopping.
-- Communicate beforehand. Every family has its own holiday ideas and traditions, e.g., opening presents on Christmas Eve, attending midnight church services, or caroling around the neighborhood. If you have specific traditions, be sure to share them with your guests before they arrive. This will give you both enough lead time to prepare for the event(s) or to find other things for your guests to do while you’re otherwise occupied. It will also give you both a chance to coordinate or eliminate some ideas on amusing pastimes and other plans.
-- Share tasks -- and decisions. Not only do “many hands make light work,” but sharing chores can also make people feel useful -- and wanted. If they ask to do so, let your guests prepare dishes, clear tables, walk dogs and help out in other ways. And be sure to include them in decisions about group activities, particularly entertainment choices, just in case your idea of a rollicking good time turns out to be their idea of a cure for insomnia.
-- Smile, smile, smile. It’s the holiday season, after all, a time when kindness fills the air. A bright outlook can go a long way toward soothing any ruffled feathers, even your own. And if that fails, remember what your third-grade teacher said about your classmate’s book report on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: This too shall pass.
In addition to savings of up to 20% on home interests, books, videos, music and more, members enjoy discounts of up to 20% at popular restaurants across the United States, great deals on movie tickets, and significant savings on airfare, hotels, car rentals and other travel needs, reports AP9 Simple Escapes.

AP9 SimpleEscapes Takes a Look at a Few Popular Travel Accessories
If you find yourself traveling for business or for pleasure, having the right travel accessories can make your trip much more pleasurable. AP9 SimpleEscapes, a premier travel and entertainment savings program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC®, recommends you take along some of the latest and greatest travel essentials that will make your trip trouble-free and more enjoyable.
Almost anyone who has traveled within his or her lifetime knows that there are certain annoyances associated with getting to and from one’s desired destination. From being chilled on the airplane to failing to remember your “sensible” shoes at home, travelers are sometimes faced with unpleasant situations. However, members of AP9 Simple Escapes receive up to 20% off at well-known online and retail stores across the country that carry a wide selection of travel accessories and gizmos -- ones that pledge comfy and manageable travel.
AP9 SimpleEscapes suggests a few travel accessories that are sure to make your trip a pleasurable one:
-- Pashminas. Hmmm…a thin, scratchy complimentary airplane blanket or a soft, cozy pashmina scarf? Most likely the pashmina -- especially since they come in an assortment of colors, materials and sizes. They are also reasonably priced, chic and can be folded for easy storage in your carry-on.
-- Travel Pillows. Along with the not-so-pleasant complimentary airplane blanket there is the complimentary want-to-be-a-pillow airplane pillow -- a sore neck in the making. Another solution would be to take along your own travel pillow -- especially for lengthier flights. Travel pillows come in all shapes and sizes -- choose from neck, full or inflatable styles.
-- Hanging Cosmetic Bags. No need to stress about having to find a travel-size version of all your favorite health and beauty items (this is also a big money-saver as trial sizes can be pricey) when you have a cosmetic bag that allows for full size bottle storage. Many companies are now making these. Plus, some unfold and can be hung on the back of the bathroom door -- no unpacking and repacking here!
-- Travel Steamers. Ever use the in-room iron at a hotel only to get a water spot or two on your business suit or evening gown? Companies are manufacturing travel-size steamers that are lightweight and compact -- so compact that they don’t use up a ton of precious storage space in your suitcase. They are also powerful enough to take out stubborn wrinkles just by using regular tap water.
In addition to saving up to 20% on travel accessories, AP9 Simple Escapes offer its members up to 20% off at popular restaurant chains across the United States, significantly discounted movie tickets, CD’s and DVD’s. We hope your next travel experience is a safe and comfortable one, concludes AP9 SimpleEscapes.
